You should be entitled to compensation under the carrier's terms, but the amount depends on the contract and any insurance you took out. Keep:

The supplier collects your barrel from your UK address and delivers it directly to the recipient's home address overseas. This is the most convenient option — you don't need to arrange any onward delivery at the destination end.

The supplier collects your barrel from your UK address. However, the recipient will need to collect from the destination port themselves — onward delivery is not included. This is typically cheaper than Door to Door.

You take the barrel to the supplier's UK depot yourself — they don't collect from your home. The recipient then collects from the destination port. This is usually the most affordable option since you're handling both ends of the collection.

The supplier handles onward delivery from the destination port to the final address overseas. Some suppliers offer this as an add-on or as part of a Door to Door service. It is worth confirming exactly what is included before booking.
